Pete Squires, Co-Founder
Pete is a 1974 graduate of Manhattan College. He is a past
Olympic qualifier and a three-time winner of the Yonkers Marathon.
Other titles and honors include: NCAA All-American, 1974 and
1975; Jersey Shore Marathon winner, 1977; Finland Marathon winner,
1979; Connecticut Athlete of the Year, 1974 and 1981; New
York Athlete of the Year, 1979; member of Manhattan Hall of Fame,
1998. From 1995 through 2002, Pete was the head track-and-field
and cross-country coach for both the men’s and women’s teams at
Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.

Pat Tyson, Director
The coach of Mead High School in Spokane, Washington, Tyson
is one of the top high school distance coaches in the nation. His
teams won 12 State Team titles and seven individual championships
in his seventeen years as a high school coach. He was a
member of two NCAA championship teams while running for Bill
Dellinger at the University of Oregon. Pat is presently the head
men’s and women’s coach at Gonzaga University. |

Nick Rogers, Director
Nick was the 1994 Washington State
Champion in the 2 mile run, 2000 USA
Olympian in the 5000 meters, 2000-2001, 2003 member of the USA world
cross-country team. In 2001 he won
the USA Road 10 K Championship
and participated on the USA World
Track & Field Team. |

Geoff Smith, Coach
Geoff is a 1985 graduate of Providence College. A two-time
Olympian, Geoff competed for the British team in the 10,000
meters in 1980 and in the marathon in 1984. He is a two-time winner
of the Boston Marathon (1984 and 1985) and a second-place
finisher in the New York Marathon (1983). Geoff’s best mile time is
3:55 and best 10,000-meter finish is 27:47. He is currently a
teacher at a private school in Massachusetts. |

Steven McChesney One of the running McChesneys, a legendary family in high school
and college distance running. Steve did his running on the west
coast at South Eugene (Oregon) High School and the University of
Oregon, and has achieved additional fame on the east coast as the
legendary coach of Newton South High School (Mass.), where he
has coached many championship girl’s teams and outstanding
individuals. Newton South is perennially a contender for regional
and state honors. McChesney’s latest team has been nationally
ranked and boasts several top athletes. |

Ken Pelletier, Coach
A graduate of Fitchburg State College, Ken coaches Gardner High
School in Massachusetts, and has coached high school for 15
years. He has won numerous championships, and coached many
state and national level high school athletes. Coach Pelletier has
completed 14 Boston Marathons. |

Dr. Mike Keogh, Sports Medicine
Mike was a 1972 Olympian in the 5,000 meters and a graduate of
Manhattan College. In 1973, Mike was the NCAA champion in the
2 mile. In the past Dr. Keogh was a chiropractor for LSU and the
PGA tour. |
